This is the latest version of our standard ADH footswitch, designed for customers who prefer to have a wireless workspace around their machines. Our wireless pedal system has three main hardware components:
Our wireless pedal system consists of a Wireless Remote Module (WRM) integrated into the foot pedal. In addition, the foot pedal contains a set of three ultrasonic sensors.
The Machine Module (MM) is mounted on the bending machine and serves as the wireless link between the WRM and the PCSS-A. The Ultrasonic Module (UM) is mounted on the bending machine.
The Ultrasonic Module (UM) is mounted on the bending machine and works with the ultrasonic sensors in the MM to monitor the position of the foot pedal.
Our wireless foot pedal solution is now available as an optional feature for press brakes manufacturers using the PCSS-A1 or PCSS-A2 platform. The solution makes it easy to integrate wireless functionality into your machine by integrating a wireless module into your existing foot pedal or designing a new pedal from scratch. The wireless system utilizes a secure, two-channel SIL 3 communication method that allows for bi-directional communication between the bending machine and the foot pedal. In addition, the system utilizes ultrasonic sensors to provide dynamic range and position monitoring. Note that the image shown is an example of an OEM foot pedal layout.
12 pulse safe inputs (6 dedicated and 6 spare).
Dual integrated antennas
Electronic paper display
Indoor solar rechargeable battery
Rechargeable lithium ion battery
External USB charging port and wireless pairing button connection
Pedal activation status LED
An illuminated (red LED) emergency stop button
A set of three ultrasonic sensors
Of the WRM's 12 inputs, 6 are pre-configured for the following functions;
Lower pedal x2 (NO and NC contacts)
Emergency stop button x2 (NC contact)
Reset button x2 (normally open and normally closed contacts)
Of the remaining 6 alternate inputs, these can be custom configured for any auxiliary button function, such as up pedal, up and down tool clamping, etc.
A low-power display shows the machine operator information such as battery level, radio signal strength, and in-range status. Foot pedal identification numbers can be defined by the bender manufacturer or displayed on the CNC controller to show the operator which foot pedal is paired with the machine.
