The DSP LASER AP safety device is a visible laser barrier designed to protect the operator of the bending machine from crushing between the upper and lower tools during rapid shutdown of the press.It complies with the safety standards specified in EN 12622. The device consists of a transmitter (TX) that emits the laser light and a receiver (RX) that detects the laser light and processes the received signals using the MCS module, which manages a large number of signals and performs various machine functions.
Brackets are mandatory safety devices for the correct mounting of photocells on bending machines to prevent injuries. On request, we offer brackets with different running strokes to meet your specific needs.

Lazersafe-PCSS IRIS
Both the IRIS and IRIS Plus models are combination systems that provide high performance optical protection during high-speed tool shutdown. Once the bending process has started, image processing takes over. These systems capture and process images in real time and transmit real-time data to the CNC system via SmartLink. The image processing systems are fully integrated in the IRIS and IRIS Plus receivers and require no additional hardware or software.
The European bending machine standard EN12622 limits bending speeds to 10mm/s, ensuring a basic level of operator safety by regulating the speed of material movement towards the operator during bending.
However, the Machinery Directive and EN12622 provide for faster bending speeds using wider V-tools, as long as certain operations can be adequately monitored. In CNC systems, manufacturers can set faster bending speeds for wider V-tools and the bending speed management process automatically monitors the speed of the material as it passes through the bending arc, thus providing safe conditions for faster bending.
Systems with camera receivers provide automatic tool alignment, eliminating the need for precise manual adjustments. This process can be fully automated in the CNC via SmartLink without the operator having to press the TOOL ALIGN button.
The OEM Embedded Systems LZS Series and IRIS Series hardware and software are CE certified and comply with all international safety standards for press brakes, including EN12622, ANSI B11.3-2012, CSA Z142-10 and NR12.
